The Department of Energy announced today that its Oak Ridge National Laboratory has partnered with Canadian nuclear company Terrestrial Energy Inc. to complete the design and testing of TEI’s new Integral Molten Salt Reactor, a GenIV nuclear reactor that provides unique safety, operational and cost advantages. The reactor should come online in less than ten years.
