By UWE REINHARDT: It was, of course, inevitable that punditry-land would erupt in fun and glee after the appearance on January 5 of Robert Pear’s New York Times report that Harvard University’s faculty currently is engaged in a fierce debate over the design of that university’s health-benefit plan. Let me confess that, as a faculty member of a university whose football team was handed a truly humiliating defeat last fall by Harvard’s legendary team, I have imbibed a bit at that fountain of glee and joy myself.
